The DIS Infrared Audio Distribution System is used to wirelessly distribute any audio signal, either from a DIS CCU Central Control Unit or a ham radio. This infrared equipment can be used in a simultaneous interpretation system for international conferences where multiple languages are needed as well as assistive listening rooms where audio needs to be distributed wirelessly to up to 32 receivers/listeners. These components stand alone from the DIS 5900 and 6000 systems in that they can be used with any audio input.
