Shure 588SDX - cardioid dynamic microphone (00450A)
The Shure 588SDX microphone is the most desirable unidirectional microphone with a built-in windscreen!

The 588SDX is equipped with male 3-pin professional connectors and a specially designed, multi-function switch which allows on/off control at the performer's position. A choice of either high or low (150 ohm) impedance (no internal rewiring required) for compatibility with any sound reinforcement equipment and a lock-on position in either impedance when the sound engineer wants to control the microphone at the console.
The 588SDX has a uniform cardioid polar pattern that reduces feedback even in acoustically difficult locations. Its frequency response of 80-13,000 Hz is suitable for sound reinforcement and recording of speech, vocals and most instruments. The response is shaped with a fixed bass rolloff to provide natural sounding close-up voice production and with a high-frequency presence boost to heighten intelligibility of speech and vocals. In addition, an effective shock mount isolates the cartridge from unwanted handling or stand-transmitted mechanical noise. A built-in windscreen minimizes breath popping when used close-up and subdues wind noise when used outdoors. The 588SDX features the same 3-pin professional studio microphones and consoles. The microphone is finished in attractive platinum beige. You may also choose to order the QD101 25-foot long Q-TECH microphone cable that's a heavy duty, two connector, shielded cable with 3-pin female connector on one end and a 3-pin male on the other.
