Boston Acoustics Voyager's 6-inch outdoor rock speaker has waterproof and rustproof hardware plus two high performance tweeters!


Great sound from a rock? You can count on it if it's the Boston Acoustics Voyager RK6T2 (6 1/2-inch unit bass) rock speaker. Designed to resemble natural rock formations, the RK6T2s also provide advanced audio solutions for outdoor soundscaping in all types of environments. That means they blend in gracefully with virtually any outdoor environment, and they're specially configured to sound great in open-air environments. And not only is the RK6T2 weatherproof, but it also has waterproof and rustproof hardware, grilles and connectors, and is designed to withstand the harshest outdoor weather and temperature extremes, so you can enjoy outdoor music worry-free!

For the best audio reproduction capabilities, the rock speaker features two powerful mica-filled voice coil woofers with a butyl rubber surround. A custom-stepped basket further enhances woofer performance by moving the woofer flush with the surface of the enclosure, minimizing the sonic “tunnel effect.” The RK6T2 also packs two 1-inch soft dome high performance tweeters, capable of providing stereo sound from a single speaker!

The unique grille design blends into the surface of the enclosure and is voiced to sonically match the other models in the Boston Acoustics Voyager line of outdoor audio solutions (see below). The RK6T2 also has a recessed weatherproof cavity on the bottom that can house an optional 70/100 Volt Transformer for use in light commercial installations such as restaurants and bars, or in full commercial applications like malls, theme parks and large retail spaces which use constant voltage to drive multiple speakers.

The Voyager rock speaker is also available in two other rock formations: River Rock and New England Granite. And if your looking for a bigger size Boston Acoustics also offers the 8-inch (unit bass) RK8T2. All Voyager speakers are available in New England Granite, Sandstone and River Rock formations.
