AudioLink Adds Soundsphere Loudspeakers to the Online Catalog
I am pleased to announce that AudioLink is now an authorized national dealer for the Soundsphere Loudspeakers line of Public Address system products. These speakers allow customized installation of PA systems for large (and medium sized) facilities.
Soundsphere's more than 50 years of experience in sound system development and application brings together both innovative design concepts and proven practices.
Our technicians can offer fast, efficient and cost-effective solutions that fit your public area or commercial sound system requirements.
These loudspeakers are made in the U.S.A. from the finest components. They are warranted for five years, and -- based on the experience of clients with installed capacity -- last considerably longer. The speakers are available in several standard colors and can be made to coordinate with any existing color schemes. The quality of materials and rugged construction of the speakers make them resistant to potential damage in difficult environments like gymnasiums and factories.
Every Soundsphere omnidirectional loudspeaker produces a hemisphere of full frequency sound. Conventional speakers produce coverage patterns that vary with frequency. You may have noticed this phenomenon in places with common ceiling speakers; you hear the bass everywhere, but as you move away from the speaker, the mid- and high-frequency sounds disappear.
The presence of mid and high frequencies directly affects the quality of music, as well as the audibility of spoken language. Soundsphere loudspeakers produce low, mid, and high frequencies equally throughout their 180° x 360° area of coverage, optimizing sound quality.
Listeners seldom perceive a source of sound, but rather a field of sound that appears to come from everywhere. Voice announcements and music are more pleasing and less intrusive than with conventional loudspeakers, and fewer speakers are needed to cover a given area. Fewer sources of sound mean simpler sound systems and fewer problems in acoustically difficult spaces.
Contact us today to find out how a customized Soundsphere installation can enhance the sound experience in your facility!
New Category - Musical Instruments and Gear
We are proud to announce a reorganization of our catalog to highlight Musical Instruments & Gear. Among the various products offered in this new category are keyboards, student guitars, picks, straps, cases and stands.
I am particularly pleased to highlight one of the many exciting products now available: the Casio CTK-591 portable electronic keyboard with MIDI interface. This keyboard was designed for both the beginner and the advanced user.
Beginners will appreciate the large LCD instructional display that can teach anyone how to play one of more than 100 pre-programmed songs. It also includes a feature which I really like, a built-in scoring system that any level musician can use to track his or her progress.
Professionals will appreciate the built-in recording capability that allows you to save and then download compositions to a computer using the MIDI interface. The great sound of this instrument is enhanced by the 24 note polyphony which allows the musician to mimic a concert piano, as well as many other instruments.
Browse through the new page and get a head start on the holiday season because many of these items will make perfect gifts for that musician in your life. DVDs, instructional books, tuners, amplifiers... just too many to list here!

Responses to Customer Questions
Here is another question asked by a NewsLetter subscriber:
Scott M., who was browsing our microphone pages, asks "How is the signal output from the receiver sent to my mixer on the
Nady Systems 401 LT/HT dual lav/handheld package? Is it XLR or 1/4 inch?
We replied:
Dear Scott,
Thank you for contacting AudioLink Services!
The outputs on the receiver are both XLR and 1/4 inch. Nady even includes both 6 foot connectors! This gives you greater flexibility for either mic or line capability. Bear in mind, however that each microphone output still requires a separate input channel to the device you are connecting to (mixer, PA etc...), even though the system has been consolidated into a one receiver package - so plan accordingly!
We hope this is helpful!
