For this month's edition of the newsletter, I've decided to share with you my picks for audio related gifts that I would love to get myself.
Although our focus has been on PA systems, microphones and the usual humdrum, everyday audio products, we do offer items which make great gifts and would bring a smile of delight to the face of that musician or audiophile in your life. That's a lot to choose from!
I picked three products that I liked so much, I might even buy them for myself, (well, if I have to...).
First is the XACT Satellite Radio Receiver. There's been a lot of talk lately about satellite radio, with some big names ready to make the switch to this new broadcast medium. There are many manufacturers of the products necessary to tune in, but XACT is the only one who makes a universal kit which works in both the home and the car. Get Sirius - pick up a satellite and go!
Next I really like the ZVOX Home Theater system. It gives you the quality of sound you expect from industry leaders but is adaptable to virtually any audio system. Turn every TV in your house into Surround Sound!
And last, though not least, I really wish I could unwrap the Casio CTK-591 electronic MIDI keyboard. I happen to be partial to the guitar, mostly because when I was a kid, there was no carrying a grand piano around in a case, so guitar it was. If they had this kind of fabulous product in those days I might be known as PianoMan instead of AudioMan! This keyboard is ideal for both the novice and the solid pro - and it's MIDI ready!
