Introducing
SoundTech Audio Products
We have recently become an authorized dealer for the SoundTech line of
audio products and it's very exciting news for us here at AudioLink
Services! SoundTech speakers and PA systems are reasonably
priced,
sturdily constructed and sound great. You get a lot of high
quality
for a lot of low price. Plus there are some really nice features
that make these PA systems very competitive with other high end
manufacturers like Fender and Anchor Audio.
For instance, they've built in
a CD player with remote included for the 150 watt AL12R, which is unique enough,
but how about that 5 band graphic
equalizer! With the heavy duty casters and roll around
handle, this product makes for a truly portable PA. I figure this
is great for an audience of up to 300 people (indoors), but would feel
safe recommending the PA system for 150 to 200 even in difficult
acoustic environments. Pricewise this is comparable to the Fender
Deluxe Passport 150, but (as mentioned above) includes the CD player
and the graphic equalizer which are not part of the Fender package.
Take a look at another SoundTech product: the PMX10 high powered stand-alone mixer.
Not only does it give you 8 digital
effects at the touch of a button, but also it offers 3 separate power amps which are
designed for left and right main outputs. There is even a designated
200 watt
monitor power amp. With 48V
phantom power, 7 band Master EQ and High/Low Channel EQ this
mixer delivers Pro Audio features at a great low price.
Another interesting fact we learned is that many of the staff at
SoundTech are musicians. So one of the reasons they always seem
to add those "nice to have" features, (CD
inputs, effects loops, accessible fuses and integrated handles to name just a
few) is because of the feedback they
receive from their employees.
No wonder this unique brand
is packed with little extras that add to the value and produce the
superior sound that has us greatly impressed. And don't worry,
AudioMan will keep you posted on any gigs the
boys in the SoundTech Band may have in the future!
In the meantime, take a look at a Special
Page we've put together, highlighting
popular SoundTech products at special prices.

Polycom Introduces The SoundStation2
Calling all Klingons!
Introducing the Polycom soundstation2: a voice conference phone that
offers twice the volume and 50% more efficient microphone pick up than
its predecessor, the legendary (and now discontinued)
SoundStation.
Setting a new standard in phone
quality and performance, the Polycom soundstation2 can be used from a
distance
of ten feet away without raising your voice or speaking in the
direction of the one of three microphones. This device offers a number
of impressive functional improvements as well, featuring a backlit LCD
display, International Caller-ID, an address book for speed dialing and
a cellular phone interface.
With Polycom's Acoustic Clarity
Technology, you get crisp voice quality and natural two-way
communication (aka full duplex)
delivered through high-performance
speakers (frequency response 300-3300 Hz) and microphones (300-3500 Hz)
that offer 360 degree room coverage with "intelligent mixing".
Oh, right, what is intelligent mixing? I'm told that's the balancing
act the software
performs to modulate both sides of the conversation volume level.
That's good, no more unintelligent mixing, hmmmmm...and no more
heckling of Audio
Man on road jobs!
Polycom also incorporates smart
technology such as DNR (Dynamic Noise Reduction) which provides
maximum microphone sensitivity, while
reducing distracting room and background noise. Updated features
include a 25 entry-phone
book, easy access to important call information and traditional
phone features (redial, mute, transfer and hold), user selectable ring
tones,
password protected configuration settings for administrators and
support for multiple Caller ID standards. Support for up to seven
different languages on the
display
for international customers is also available.
And, it's got a two-wire RJ-11 analog PBX (Private Branch EXchange) telephone
network interface that comes with a wall module as well.
And, through March 25, 2005,
you can qualify for a $100 rebate from Polycom, if you buy through our
AudioLink catalog. Wow, I think I'll order one right now! Hey
boss -- let's upgrade our conference room.

Conference Microphone Systems
AudioLink currently offers the most advanced conference
microphone technology on the market today. And for a limited
time only (just because you actually read what I write) we are offering
an
additional discount: read on!
This state of the art equipment includes an easy to use chairman
console and a virtually unlimited number of delegate
microphones that facilitate
audience participation. Ideal for delegate roundtables, boardroom
discussions, and multi-party negotiations, our system is available for rental as well as purchase.
Here are some of my favorite things about this system:
- Easy set-up (as an audio engineer I place this as my
number
one benefit – you however may prefer the second point);
- Convenient speaker controls from the chairman’s console
(so the discussion leader can direct the flow of the conversation);
- High fidelity individual loudspeakers at each station
(with centralized volume controls);
- Adjustable gooseneck microphones (so individuals can
adjust their unit for maximum comfort)
- An on/off indicator light to alert audience members when
their microphone is live (you can imagine why I like this as I have
been known to sometimes say things sotto voce!);
- And, for that all important recording & transcription of your
meeting (you did know that we do on-site recording, duplication and transcription didn't you?), the system allows linking to external audio sources.
Manual or automatic operation with delegate and chairman microphones
ensures trouble free reliability. Use the optional Microphone Control Unit (remote
tech-pad) in a convenient location, to unobtrusively operate the
system. At least that's how our audio engineers do it when you rent
from us.
Take advantage now of the superior sound and top quality components this
system has to offer, and while you're at it check out the other equipment we currently rent! Talk to us about
buying or renting before your next meeting.
Oh wait, I forgot about that discount.
You'll receive an additional savings
of 10% if you order NEW Chairman or Delegate microphones through our website. Just enter Coupon Code: DELCON22805 when prompted, or mention this notice when you call our account
executives at 1-800-516-6955.
This introductory offer is good
through February 28, 2005 -- so get
your order in before this sale ends!

Responses
to Customer Questions
Here is another question asked by a visitor to audiolinks.com:
David B. writes "Recently I was at a planning meeting for a
bilingual conference and the phrase "ADA compliant" was mentioned
several times. I see it on your site as well. Can you
explain what this means?"
I replied:
Hi David,
Thank you for contacting AudioLink Services!
The ADA, or Americans With Disabilities Act,
Public Law 336 of the
101st Congress, was enacted July 26, 1990. It contains requirements for
new construction, for alterations or renovations to buildings and
facilities, and for improving access to existing facilities of private
companies providing goods or services to the public. It also requires
that State and local governments provide access to programs offered to
the public.
The ADA also covers effective communication with people with
disabilities, eligibility criteria that may restrict or prevent access,
and requires reasonable modifications of policies and practices that
may be discriminatory. That is why we have devoted an entire category to the equipment which
complies with these regulations. When you see the ADA label,
you'll know that the equipment has been approved by the Federal
Government and adheres to the stringent rules set
forth.
We hope this is helpful!
Wesley F. had this inquiry: I want to start making CD copies instead of
cassettes for my home business. I have looked into the
duplicators out
there, and I see they need to work with a PC. Isn't there
anything
that works without one?
Here's my reply:
Hi Wesley. I recommend the Acronova Apus-EZ-5810C.
The Apus-EZ is a true standalone auto-duplicator, because no computer
connection is necessary. It's a powerful and high-speed automatic
CD copier at an affordable price and operation is as easy as 1-2-3:
- 1- Load the master disc into the reader.
- 2- Load the blank discs into the input bin.
- 3- Push the desired speed button and fully automated duplication begins.
The
Apus-EZ will copy the blanks one-by-one until complete. Adding more
blanks during an operation? Apus-EZ handles it without a glitch. And the 100-disc per batch input bin
saves valauable time, so just set it and forget it.
Hope this helps!
Myron J. asks: "Due to an expansion and a safety upgrade, I now need to
wear a hardhat on the tours I conduct through our
cookie factory and was wondering if there is a microphone I can use for
my Williams Sound Tour Guide System. Can you help?
Hi Myron. I sure can! Williams Sound makes a headset microphone for just that purpose. The MIC 036 headset microphone
features a 39-inch cord and 3.5mm mini plug. It works just like
the microphone you have now, but comes with a
cardioid condenser to minimize unwanted background noise and fits over a standard hardhat.
And with all the money you are spending now on enhanced safety in your
cookie factory, this should be the perfect solution, because it won't
cost you a lotta dough!
Hope this helps!
