The Microboards' Quick Disc QD-DVD is a low-cost, performance-oriented one-to-one CD/DVD duplication system. High-speed DVD recordable technology is supported at 4X normal speed, while CD recording is at 16X normal speed. The Microboards' Print Factory PRF-1000-01 features Microboards Technology's patented 50-disc auto-loading system with HP's new inkjet printer engine to gives users great image resolution and print speed. Microboards Technology's automated Orbit Micro MLDV-1000-03 has only one button to operate its simulation and copy modes. It features a 50-disc autoloader and records discs at 4X for DVD and 16X for CD. Masters are read into the internal hard drive through the recorder, eliminating the need for a separate reader. Masters and blanks can be interleaved on the input spindle to allow for batch mode processing. When the system recognizes a new master, it reads it into the hard drive then ejects the master into the output bin and starts recording the next series of blanks until it runs out of media or recognizes a new master in the drive.
The Microboards Print Factory PRF-1000-01 features Microboards patented 50-disc auto-loading system with HP's new inkjet printer engine. It has an option for expansion which is of particular interest to higher volume publishers that may want to expand. In its non-expanded set-up, the Print Factory is capable of producing up to 200 discs per hour. Microboards Technology's DSR-DVD-NH-D448 duplicator comes with eight DVD/CDR recorders at 4X/16X, and one reader drive. This unit supports both a stand-alone and a computer-connect mode via Firewire IEEE 1394 that allows you to copy from multiple DVD formats. With a compact footprint, and multiple configurations available, the DSR DVD-NH series can be used disc to disc, or disc to multiple disc for higher volume requirements. No hard drive is required, because the caching of image files is done on the fly, to multiple writers, simultaneously. LED indicators provide easy detection of errors during the record process, preventing bad disc duplication, and monitoring the status of the recording session.
