CD Duplicators & CD/DVD Duplicators
Recordex CD Duplicators
In this article we compare CD Duplicators and CD/DVD Duplicators made by Recordex and other leading brands.
Recordex has a reputation for making superior cassette tape duplicators; for years Recordex went head-to-head against SONY tape duplicators and Telex tape duplicators in a technology battle which has now been resolved in favor of Recordex (both Sony and Telex have effectively dropped out of this market).
Now, with the launch of some major new entries in the CD duplicator and CD/DVD duplicator markets, Recordex is going up against other established market leaders.
The question we address in this article is how do the new Recordex duplicators stack up?
What we found is that Recordex has added some new features for its CD duplicators and CD/DVD duplicators which distinguish them from other leading duplicators.
On balance, Recordex duplicators compares well on issues of quality, speed, memory and price. Most notable are the following improvements:
- 400 Watts Of Power: Most manufacturers buy 200 to 300 watt power supplies off the shelf and install them in their duplicators. While these power supplies are great for home computers they are inadequate for the demands of CD duplicators and CD/DVD duplicators. Recordex provides up to 100% more power handling. Because Recordex redesigned their power supplies from the ground up for professional CD duplicators and CD/DVD duplicators, we found that their duplicators could run up to 15 drives 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with greatly reduced down-time.
- Enhanced Cooling: With today's duplicators reaching speeds of 10,000 rpm in their recording heads, you wind up with a major heat problem that needs commercial grade cooling. Both the 3 copy and 7 copy Recordex duplicators come with 4 ultra quiet fans that simply blow away single fan design.
- Roll Over Protection: Recordex duplicators have 4 (four) feet - rather than 2 (two). In addition, on the D9H, C11H, D11H & D21H models, each foot has a unique locking mechanism. These feet are individually adjustable and lock into place once you've positioned your machine. This adds stability and helps resolve the ongoing tipping problem of CD duplicators and CD/DVD duplicators.
- Fast, Quality Recording: Testing both in the US and overseas, every Recordex is built with drives that represent an optimum of stability, compatibility, and speed. Recordex CD duplicators utilize Line-On drives, a real workhorse that is best described as bulletproof. All Recordex duplicators are controlled by an Acard controller, easily one of the most versatile in the industry. Its an easy to use, advanced command system with backlit LCD menus and 1 button quick copy mode. None the other competitors we looked at match this Recordex system, even at higher prices. In fact, Acard is the only controller in the industry that can burn DVD at 20X!
